A retaining wall does two jobs: holds back tons of earth and looks good doing it. We build walls that handle both, starting with the part you never see. Proper excavation, a compacted base, and real drainage behind the wall. That’s the difference between a wall that lasts decades and one that leans in five years.
What We Build
- Block Retaining Walls – engineered segmental block, clean and durable
- Natural Stone Walls – timeless look, built to hold
- Timber Walls – cost-effective option for smaller slopes
- Terraced Walls – turning steep slopes into usable, level ground
- Garden & Landscape Walls – raised beds, borders, and accents
- Wall Repair & Replacement – fixing failing walls before they become a bigger problem
Why Walls Fail (And Ours Don’t)
Most retaining walls don’t fail because of the blocks. They fail because of what’s behind them: no drainage, poor base, wrong backfill. Water builds up, pressure grows, and the wall leans or collapses. We excavate properly, compact a solid base, install drainage stone and pipe, and backfill in lifts. It’s more work upfront and it’s why our walls stay straight.

Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on height, length, materials, and site access. A small garden wall and a 6-foot structural wall are very different projects. We give you an exact number after a free site visit.
In most areas, walls over 4 feet require engineering and permits. We know the local requirements in South Carolina and handle that process for you.
A properly built block or stone wall lasts 50 years or more. Timber walls typically last 15 to 25 years. The key factor is drainage, and we never skip it.
Sometimes, depending on the cause and how far it’s moved. Often the smarter long-term move is rebuilding it correctly. We’ll give you an honest assessment either way.
